Personality profiling has been around for a long while. You could say it dates as far back as the fifth century BC when Hippocrates identified four distinct energies apparent in different people. He spoke of four Gods; Apollonius, Dionysus, Epimetheus and Prometheus who all had distinct personality temperaments.
